Our kids were at Nana and Papa's and we were hiking the beautiful hills in southern Ohio. Hocking Hills to be specific. We were able to rent a cabin (for a few days) and enjoy the beauty of waterfalls, caves, and cliffs. So in the midst of the world changing and so many people not being able to go places, I wanted to revisit the beauty of nature and take you on a visual journey of Hocking Hills.

These 2 beautiful sisters are now 9 months and 7 years old (and the middle one had to get in on some of the photos too). They're growing, changing, and all for the better. They are becoming (with a lot of help and work from their parents - kudos!) wonderful ladies who will make the world a better place someday. They are creative, super silly, LOVE their mommy, and think their dad is the best thing in the world. Thanks for letting me capture the growing stages Erin and Tyler!

So I took pictures of Evangeline as a newborn and recently as a 3 month old. She is very much like her sisters and very much her own person. I love how kids are like that. One can find the similarities, but right along side the similarities are the things that make each. one. unique.

This little sweetheart was just precious and definitely enjoys her sleep - which I LOVE to capture because there is just nothing so sweet, snuggly and precious as a sleeping baby. And I love to capture the moments because, they're only little for a little while.

Savor the smallness.

And not just any book, it was a book that resonated with the type of person that I want to be in this life. It is funny, easy to relate to, and easy to read (which for a working mama with two littles is a must). I squeaked in the reading over a few nap times and some evenings to finish in about 2 weeks - it was THAT good.

And now, there's a new edition of the book that has just come out! I was privileged to take photos of the authors and design a website for the books: http://theshowupbook.com. Now, designing websites is not something I do often (although I do love a good design project), but when it's for something I believe in and with wonderful people - who can pass up the opportunity. ]]><![CDATA[West Michigan Photography - Spring? or still Winter...]]>Wed, 28 Mar 2018 00:29:40 GMThttp://www.ensphotography.net/blog/west-michigan-photography-spring-or-still-winterWell, it is almost spring and I am SO looking forward to being outside more and the gorgeous photo weather that comes with spring and summer in Michigan. YAY!

But, I do find that I am still feeling like I need to cuddle in my blankets, wear my sweatshirts/coats, and not quite ready to break out the short sleeves. And as much as I don't like being cold, I have found that I have some brave and wonderful clients who ARE willing to brave the weather for some great memories captured. Around Christmas time, I did some Christmas mini shoots that were a lot of fun out at Prince Christmas Tree farm in Zeeland - however, there were 2 things that happened on the blog. 1. I didn't want to post the pictures too early in case people were using them for Christmas cards, etc. 2. Since I didn't post them right away, I completely forgot that I didn't post them. So, a walk down memory lane of when it was just starting to get cold, but there was no snow on the ground.

We had a lot of fun and were able to capture one of the cutest pouty lips you will ever see. ENJOY

It's such a weird feeling. One day, it's like you're not a parent (although you've prepped and prepped and tried to be), and then the next day you are. Boom. You are now responsible for this little tiny human. Keeping it alive, keeping it clothed, warm, clean and everything else that goes with being a parent. It's one of the most amazing things. And how sweet it can be - for you once were just two, and now you are three.

So I like to try and incorporate that peace, calm, and relaxed atmosphere for all of my clients. After you see the images below you'll know what I mean. They just make me want to curl up in a blanket, with a good book, cup of tea and forget that time exists.
